Our Deeper Bible study started this past Wednesday and it was an absolute joy to see so many teens coming out to get into God's Word. A lack of Biblical knowledge is one of our greatest challenge that the American church faces today...How well do you know the Scripture? How much of a priority to you put on understanding it more? Your kids will reflect the same habits and priorities you have as parents so I challenge you to start getting deeper. If you have questions as to how, please ask me!

Psalm 119 is a beautiful poem expressing the desire, need for, and dependence on God's Word:
How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart;do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, O LORD;teach me your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees;I will not neglect your word.

So I challenge you as parents to step up to the plate. To put your relationship with God at the forefront of your own life, and your family's...Start getting into His Word this summer and begin holding a family devotions time. It's easier than you think!

Movie on the Lawn: This Sunday Night 8:30pm-11pm
Hopefully the scattered T-storms in the forecast won't happen and we'll have our movie on the corner field of the church property. Send along blankets and lawn chairs with your teen and feel free to stick around for the movie as well! If the weather is bad, we'll still watch the movie but we'll be down in the Youth Room. We'll provide the snacks and the movie! We're starting the movie no later than 8:40pm, so get there on time!

Philly Prep Meeting: This Sunday afternoon
We'll meet after the second Souljourn service lets out, down in the Youth Room. This meeting is for team members coming along on the trip. It is mandatory that those going attend one of our two prep meetings as it will be an intense experience in Philadelphia. Chapters 1-4 of the Irresistible Revolution should be read by our meeting time. We'll provide pizza for lunch. Plan on the meeting running 3 hours.

August Calendar Changes!
Girl Swim! Wednesday August 5th, 4-8pm
The girls are going to gather at the Millersville Pool for a time of games, snacks and connecting as they celebrate the summer in style! If you do not have a pool membership, no worries! It costs just $3 to get in!

Dorney Park: Thursday August 20th, NOT August 13th
I was told that August 13th is high school orientation for upcoming students, so we're moving the Dorney Park trip up one week. *Teens must sign up*
