Wow! Creation 2009 was such an amazing time! We took an awesome group of 19 teens and adults this year and it will truly be a highlight for many of our summers. The weather was pretty cooperative and expected: A whole lot of sun and humidity and only a little bit of rain (of course when we were packing up on Sunday morning!) Each day was packed with great worship (Tomlin, Crowder, Relevant Worship), amazing speakers who challenged us (Bob Lenz, Joyce Meyer, Bretty Ullman), SAAAAWWEEEET music (Skillet, Family Force Five, Kutless), and some great fellowship with one another (lots of Dutch Blitz, conversation, camp fire!!).

The trip definitely hit our two challenges for the summer as we grew closer to God through speakers, conversation, and worship...and growing closer to one another through great fellowship, fun, and shared experience of God's presence. There were many prayers prayed, tears shed, and hearts changed so the question is...WHERE WERE YOU AND YOUR TEEN?! We'd love to have our number increase for next year so mark these dates: June 30-July 4.

QUICK DATES/TIMES
  • Wednesday July 1st, 10:30am-Noon: Deeper Bible Study begins!
  • Wednesday July 1st: Philly Service Trip Deadline
  • Sunday July 5th: Youth Camp begins!
  • Sunday Night July 5th, 6:30-8:30pm: Mini Golf & Ice Cream At Boulders

Deeper Bible Study: We start this Wednesday!

This is a great way for your teen to get into God's Word this summer and have others along for the journey. We'll be studying Scripture to understand God deeper and respond to Him with our lives. And hey, we're done before the pool opens up so there's no excuse!

Philly Trip Sign Ups

I need to know by July 1st whether you or your teen is definitely interested in going along with us to Philly. We've got a good group so far but we're always looking for more. This is without a doubt going to be a life-changing experience as we take a hard look at poverty and what our response should be.

Mini Golf & Ice Cream at Boulders

We will be meeting AT Boulders f our time together. It costs $6.50 per game and teens should bring along some moolah for ice cream/snacks at Scoops. I'm hoping a couple parents are willing and able to join us for our time of fellowship! It's located at 312 Primrose Lane, right off Route 30 at the Mountville exit.

Youth Camp

We'll be saying adios to a good number of our teens this Sunday as they head off to Pocono Plateau for Youth Camp. We pray that God will speak mightily through their experience and that they will return on Saturday July 11th ready to put into action what God taught them through the week.

Swimsuit Policy:

It is you and your child's responsibility to follow this policy when attending a youth function that involves swimming. The purpose of this policy is to protect both sexes from being objectified and tempted, NOT to make your wardrobe choices a stress. Our time together is for good fellowship and positive relationships that help us grow as a community of Christ-followers. We need to build one another up:

Guys: Wear appropriately fitting suits: Suits that are not too tight or too baggy so that we see your boxers hanging out.

Girls: Wear tankinis, one pieces, or a dark colored shirt that covers up top (over your bathing suit top) And make sure the bottoms actually cover the bottom! Bikinis and two pieces are not allowed.

*Ultimately the adults supervising the swimming will make the judgment whether a suit is appropriate or not*
