Movie on the Lawn = Awesome!At my last count there were more than 50 teens, parents, and kids out at our movie on the lawn last night! It was a great night (ok, it got a little chilly) for freshly popped pop corn, cold sodas, and Prince Caspian on the big screen. We had a lot of families come out for the movie and I hope we can expand the event to include even more families in the future.
I appreciate all the patience from parents since we had technical difficulties with our projector and got started 15 minutes late. Thank you to all who stayed afterwards to help clean things up, we can't do what we do without the great help of you parents!

We decided yesterday to change our pace of the reading plan. We've changed from 7 readings in 7 days, to 5 readings in 7 days. The expectation of each person in the group is to read the assigned 5 passages and take notes on WHAT? SO WHAT? and NOW WHAT? so that we can discuss questions and application together on Wednesday mornings. Below are the days we will be reviewing this upcoming Wednesday. We're also starting back a few days so we can get everyone on the same page. A full reading plan can be found by picking up the tri-fold bookmark brochure outside the Family Life Center or on the Welcome Desk.

Barnstormer Games: This Sunday Night *Arrive at 4:15pm
We're back for a second attempt at volunteering at the Barnstormers! Hopefully this time we won't get rained out, especially since it's United Methodist Night at the ballpark. (Does that mean we will do better or worse with beer sales??) I've learned since last game that we are permitted to wear jeans. According to the sign up sheet, we're still a few shy of our minimum of 25 volunteers, so I'm hoping there's people coming who didn't sign up?
Philly Trip Make Up Meeting: Monday July 20th, 12-1pm
For those who weren't able to make our meeting yesterday, we're going to catch up participants for our week away. We need to meet during the day before 3pm. We'll spend an hour or so giving them the important information.
Philadelphia Service Trip Draws near!
We're less than 2 weeks away from this life-changing experience. I'm anxious to get there but still have plenty of things to do to get ready. We are in need of your prayers. Would you commit to praying for our team everyday from now until we return?
August Calendar Changes!
Girl Swim! Wednesday August 5th, 4-8pm
The girls are going to gather at the Millersville Pool for a time of games, snacks and connecting as they celebrate the summer in style! If you do not have a pool membership, no worries!
Dorney Park: Thursday August 20th, NOT August 13th
We're meeting at the church at 8am and heading out to Allentown for an awesome day of fun and rides. Cost is $45, and I need to have a head count by early August. Money is needed for food in the park or teens can bring bagged lunch/dinner. We'll bring a cooler. The park closes at 10pm but we'll head out whenever the group starts to get bored :)
