SURPRISE BABY SHOWER!!
(Report and pictures provided by Deb Burkhardt)
Last week during our monthly Guy/Girl night, the girls surprised Jenna with a Baby Shower! They have been so excited about the new addition and had such a great time planning and decorating for the shower. Getting 25 teen girls to keep a secret was quite a task, but they succeeded and the night was tons of fun!

When the guests arrived they each received a safety pin to wear. If they accidently said the word "baby" at any time during the night, someone would claim their pin. This proved to be a funny challenge and Angie Oppido won the prize for the most pins.

Each person was also given an "egg baby" to decorate as a boy or girl. They had to nurture and tend to their eggs like a real infant. A person could claim another's egg if they noticed it unattended or neglected. Unfortunatly there were a few cracked eggs as the night went on. Madeline Zapata was the winner with the most "adopted" eggs !

Another popular game was the Baby Food Tasting contest. Emily Laughlin won by identifying the most of six varieties!

Jenna received lots of wonderful gifts for baby, along with a few words of advice collected from each guest. "Take time for yourself", "Remember, babies will dig, so observe safety rules" ( Erin Patterson learned this in FCS class!), "Let them know why they're in time out", and "Remember to almost always hug them" were some of the golden words of wisdom passed on to the mother-to-be!

A special thank you to Emily Biechler for the beautiful cake.

Congratulations to Justin and Jenna. We all look forward to the "Big Day"!
